LAST SECOND REPLACEMENTS
When Def Jam Recordings needed a music video shot for “Replacement” by their upcoming artists Jastin Martin and Maleek Berry, they pulled in our creative director Tahmid just a few days before this shoot was set to happen. As is common with mice and men, often plans go astray. On the day of the shoot, the crew ran into locational challenges which in turn caused a need to re-conceptualize the video.
Now limited to one location, the team had to show two artists in the same place but also ensure they were separated narratively for the song in this video. To solve this, Tahmid quickly came to with an idea and the final product is what’s above.
